What a terrific way to tell a story. I was so caught up in the processes that when I realized what the story was about it really socked me in the gut.

Thank you. I'm so glad it worked for you - it's a very powerful story.

Oh oh oh, the illustration of Radek (utterly recognizable, and looking so wrecked) appearing at the end is SO powerful, especially after watching and reading and slowly putting the pieces of the whole sad story together. a;sdlfaksdfjasdfasdf.

Thank you so much - working with such powerful writing is inspiring.

And here it is! You seem to have posted at both ends of your spectrum today, from absolute joy to utter despair (er, though, I might be responsible for the latter....) So much love for Radek, as always....

*Hugs and twirls you round*

Oh, I love this. Short and powerful, and beautifully presented. Well done.

Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it.

Oh, this is SO INTERESTING. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like--it's a great way to tell a story, great use of the prompt, great use of type, everything. Brava!

Thank you so much. It was a joy to work on this project.

Oh, that really packs a punch. Story and art linked together like that works really well and both are beautiful. Lovely job by both of you. Poor John. But there is hope! Yes!
06/30/08 - 23:07 (UTC)
Thank you! The writing was inspiring. And you are quite right - Rodney will save the day (assisted by poor Radek). *nods firmly*
06/30/08 - 09:50 (UTC)
This is very interesting and the dialogue between Radek and Rodney is so heart-wrenching. Very well done.

I'm tagging both of your entries. When you have the time, please look at the tagging post. Thanks. :)

Thank you so much! I post in comms so rarely, I invariably get the tagging wrong...
:)

Poor Rodney! Poor Radek! So much said in this.
06/30/08 - 23:11 (UTC)
Fear not - Rodney (assisted by poor Radek) is bound to save the day...
:)

Oh, Radek. Oh, John. Oh, Rodney, you poor thing.

Awesome form. I can feel their frustration with waiting and fear, especially with the way the form controls the pacing and emphasis. And the Latin like background music guiding the reader's emotions sub- (peri-?) textually.

Very well done! :D

Thank you so much. I'm so glad you liked it. Busaikko has gift for describing a great deal in a very few words. The trick was pacing the animation to enhance those words...

Oh my heart! This was so original and amazing. *loves*
07/16/08 - 22:18 (UTC)
Thank you so much! It was a lovely project to work on.

I'm amazed at this. It took me a few moments to work out what was happening - the form, how to view/read/experience it, and then just, wow. Isn't it astonishing how a brief bit of text, and where we neither see Rodney nor hear/read him, can made us so sad on his behalf?

(I'm very glad you left a tiny smidgen of hope, there, though!)

It's a very powerful piece of writing - it was a joy to work with it.

Very cool. A beautiful and unique way to tell the story. And the story itself was fitting and emotional.

Thank you so much. It was a joy to work with Busaikko on this. I'm so glad it worked for you.
